| ICOLD held its Triennial Dam Congress; 90thAnnual Meeting and International Symposium on Sharing Water: Multi-Purpose of Reservoirs and Innovations between 27th May – 3rd June 2022 at Marseille, France. During the above event more than 1400 dam professionals from all over the world, more than 72 countries met and deliberated on various aspects of dam engineering including environmental aspects through the concerned ICOLD Committees and workshops. Mr. Amit Gautam, from WAPCOS, who is the chair of Indian committee on large dams- young professional forum (INCOLD YPF) contested for one position in the prestigious ICOLD YPF’s board member, among nominations from other countries like Sweden, China, Canada, Angola, Albania, South Africa, Uganda etc. and have secured a position as board member. It is a moment of great achievement for our Country that India has found a place in the esteemed ICOLD YEF’s board members among different countries.
